Subway, the sandwich chain with a mission to serve fast, but fresh, food, has this year replaced McDonald's as the world’s largest restaurant chain. Subway now has 33,749 outlets in 95 countries compared to the chain’s biggest rival McDonald's with 32,737.
‘Sub day’ has been a regular perk for the James Good motley crew for some time now; we’re all big fans (but the ‘eat fresh’ slogan with its healthy connotations hasn’t blinded us to the fact that the average ‘foot long’ contains most of your recommended daily intake of calories and fat!).
