Design Week asked me to submit an article for their regular 'Inspired' feature. Staking a claim to a single source of inspiration was a much harder task than anticipated. The process made me realise that I draw huge inspiration from an array of sources and I'm frequently inspired by tiny details and like-minded people.

Inspired

James Good

I am inspired by those that do something exceptionally, yet continue to push boundaries to improve.
By people who see everyday items from an entirely new perspective and show us the world through fresh eyes.
By individuals who have the confidence to stand up, be counted, speak their mind and influence change.
By leaders who recognise the expertise of others and collaborate to create results beyond the capability of any single individual.
By clever ideas that challenge us to think differently and encourage us to question everything.
By simple designs that communicate character, capture our imaginations and give us real insight into an organisation’s personality.
By details that many might only have a subconscious awareness of, but a passionate few have obsessed over.
By creative concepts that are so perfect-for-purpose that they should have been obvious... but they’re genius.
By businesses that innovate and do things very slightly differently with remarkable results.
