Currently some of our customers are having to crop images before uploading them to the CMS. To us, this is bad user experience, so we're making things easier:
The user uploads a photo. The uploaded photo is instantly presented along with a non-destructive crop area that is predefined by us to the correct image ratio for the type of image being uploaded. The user clicks save and the image is cropped appropriately, resized and cached for super fast delivery.
This experience is great as a user can upload, crop, resize and submit an image in 2 clicks along with the ability to go back and re-crop the original image.
It’s probably also worth mentioning that we will be including this as standard from now on.
