When Cardiff City FC's Malaysian owners decided to rebrand the club, replacing the bluebird logo with a red dragon, not only did they switch the club's colours from blue to red - a pretty big deal when you're known to all as The Bluebirds - they did away with a century of football history.
The rebrand was intended to broaden international appeal, but only succeeded in alienating the club's now outraged fans, and the players themselves.
