Background

For the very first time the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) were hosting their change management conference in the UK. Our client, CMC, were selected to co-host the conference, which presented an enormous marketing opportunity.

Objective

We were tasked with developing a creative style to ensure the design of all communications and the physical environment were consistently on-brand. The conference would occupy the entire conference facility at the Sofitel hotel in Heathrow T5, making the scale of the venue a key consideration for creating a branded environment. We were also involved in the marketing communications and generating a buzz in the build up to the conference. Our primary objective was to ensure CMC got the very best exposure from their significant investment.

Solution

Every aspect of the conference was being considered to make this a truly world-class event to remember. Working as part of the project team with CMC and event management specialists, Nteractive, our team were responsible for all things ‘brand’.

Using the CMC brand identity as a starting point, we created a design style that utilised their dots as a representation of people sitting in rows helping convey the nature and scale of the event. We also used imagery of the venue to help set the scene and communicate that this conference was going to be something special.

The implementation of our work extended to a fully responsive conference website, an online registration system, the conference guide, the physical environment and way-finding signage, videos, keynote presentations, email marketing and we even created a conference-on-demand package to extend the opportunity and reach of the conference to those that could not attend. In total we helped CMC send nearly 500,000 emails to change management professionals throughout Europe.

Results

The speaker selection comprised a vast and varied mix of interesting change management experts and the event was split into multiple streams to accommodate them all. Delegates had to choose to attend the talks most relevant to them and every talk’s presentation was on-brand. The conference environment felt vibrant. The yellow complimented all the various decors around the venue and really lifted the window-less space, giving it more energy.

Since the conference CMC have seen an increase in registrations for their change management training courses, which often lead to larger consulting engagements. CMC continue to receive resounding feedback and the memories and positive association of CMC’s involvement will last for years to come.
