Not Just James Good

James Good MCSD - Creative Director

Because I’m very proud of where we are and what we’ve achieved I can write about my business and my team until the cows come home, but it’s very difficult to write about myself without feeling like a trumpet blower!! So I’m passing the buck... Kathy knows me better than anyone so - Kathy, would you please do the honours?!?!

The first words that spring to mind are perfectionist with impeccable attention to detail, never settles for anything less than remarkable and don’t the poor guys in the studio and his suppliers know it!

James is highly driven and genuinely cares about the success of his team as a whole, as well as each individual and every one of his clients. He works ridiculously hard to do his very best in everything and naturally, by example, this encourages those around him to do the same.

James' youth was spent in his Grandad's and Dad's print factory - John Good Holbrook. When he was knee high to a grass hopper he was helping make plates, painting out dust on film, loading stitcher trimmers and playing about on the very first macs. Over the years he was fortunate enough to witness the very best and worst aspects of business, which has now put him in good stead to lead his team.

Not wanting to have everything handed to him on a silver platter, James started his own design business when he was 17 and apart from a short stint in the Caribbean, he has worked for himself ever since. His design ability and business acumen is entirely self-trained and have both been the result of hard graft, overcoming many challenges and continually pushing himself to succeed and reach his goals.

I might be slightly bias, but I too have been closely involved in the business of design for over a decade and hopefully you'll trust me when I say that James is a truly awesome designer, photographer and now creative director. He listens, he learns and he excels constantly.
