The coffee chain giant kicked-off the year with a brand modernisation that oozed confidence, and created a suitable stir. To mark the 40th anniversary of the brand, Starbucks dropped its logotype and tweaked the 40-year-old siren mark for a cleaner and more versatile identity. Love or hate Starbucks, the fact that we all recognise the branding with the text removed speaks volumes about the power of this brand.
