Little Chef are aiming to install electric vehicle charging points in all of their car parks by the end of 2012, claiming that 90% of vehicles on UK roads will be no further than 30 miles from a charging station. This is the largest deployment of EV charging points by any international restaurant and is certainly a huge step in the right direction for making electric car use more viable in the UK.
During 2011, the Little Chef restaurant chain made radical changes in an attempt to refresh and refocus their brand. The installation of EV charging points is a clever addition to the rebrand of a restaurant chain trying to regain customer loyalty.
