Which three words best describe you?
Patient, affable & dependable.

You’ve played a significant role within James Good for more than a decade. In that time what have been the most momentous developments?
James’ success in the Cayman Islands.
The formation of a great core team in the UK.
Consistent growth through challenging economic times.

What’s it like living and working with a creative like James?!
James’ keen attention to detail has definitely rubbed off on me; I can’t look at a menu without analysing the design and the print quality. Seriously; sloppy print and tatty communication materials really frustrate me!

Working with a perfectionist who’s such a stickler for detail can be extremely painful at times but the reward of producing or doing something to a greater standard than you’d imagined possible makes up for it!

Living with a creative can be interesting...tin labels always facing the same way in the cupboard (I’ve finally weened him out of that one!) It can also be great... James is brilliant at shopping! I’m a seriously lucky girl with my own personal shopper and clothing stylist. He’s great at picking out matching items and he’ll always tell me if my bum looks big!

What do you like and dislike most about your role within the company?
I enjoy experiencing the little successes of business growth and the excitement of making strides towards achieving further company successes. I believe that in the near future we will become, nationally, the hugely successful UK design agency we aspire to be. It’s exciting to be a part of making that happen.

I’m extremely proud of James Good; we produce work of exceptional quality, our standards are extremely high and our clients genuinely love the work we produce for them. We have a great team of people that strive to achieve results a step up from their last which makes my job of selling James Good easy.

If you had an opportunity to tell the entire world just one important fact about James Good, what would you say?
James Good is one of the top design agencies in the UK... you just don’t know it yet.

You grew up in the Caribbean, do you have an urge to live overseas again?
It’s at this time of year with winter encroaching that I miss the hot weather most. The type of heat that warms your bones... I do have the urge to live overseas again! I doubt living overseas will be feasible any time soon with James playing such a key role in the running of James Good.

However, once the business has spread its roots across the UK, hopefully there will be opportunity for us to move back into the Caribbean market which will allow us to spend more time in the sun.

What are the noticeable differences between clients in the UK and clients in the Caribbean?
I’d say the biggest difference would be their speed of payment. There were no thirty day terms, once a client was happy with the job they payed immediately.

What is your favourite project in the portfolio?
Seren. I think this identity is incredibly clever, I love it. The font has been handcrafted to create a simple but very effective identity.

Having recently earned a degree in marine biology, do you plan to combine your personal interests with those of the company?
Marine biology has been a huge part of my life since day dot. With such a passion for the ocean and now with a degree under my belt I’m in a position to make a difference in the marine sector. James Good’s commitment to clients involves communicating a concise and clear message to a particular audience, hopefully I’ll be in a position in the future to combine these skills to make a difference.

What exciting things does 2012 hold in store?
2012 is going to be an exciting year for James Good. We finally have the infrastructure in place (our core team) to really push growth, to increase our client base and to make steps towards achieving UK domination!

We are currently preparing an application for a design effectiveness award, winning such an accolade will be a huge success.
