If you were under any misapprehension as to the rate at which Apple is growing, news of its grand extension plans at US headquarters at Cupertino, California should set you straight. Having acquired 98 acres of new land (in addition to an existing 50), previously home to HP, plans show a gigantic spaceship-like circular building, made almost entirely of glass, encompassing a huge landscaped courtyard. Different parts of the building will be accessed via underground tunnels. The building will house over 12,000 employees and will be powered by its own natural gas energy station. Someone clearly had a plan for world domination when he was younger!
